Ad!? We made a freaking movie.

In 2019, the craft beer boom was reaching its peak, with four new breweries opening every business day. With so much competition, Czech beer Pilsner Urquell did not have obvious permission to speak. The 175-year-old brewery invented the pilsner, which is today the world's most popular style of beer. With stagnant growth in the U.S., they wanted a campaign to drive awareness with beer connoisseurs and reinforce their positioning as "the keepers of the craft."

The answer was "Brewmaster," a feature length film documenting the journey of craft beer through the ages: from the original brewmasters to young pioneers trying to make their mark. The film proved to be both a critical and audience success and succeeded in injecting a largely forgotten Czech brewery into the heart of America's craft-obsessed beer conversation. And we made money on a ninety-minute ad for beer.
