Here’s some stuff I made. I’ve won a bunch of awards for making it (see below) and, boy do ad folks love us some validation. But the Lions, Addys, and Pencils don’t always show any real work experience. That comes in dealing with the weird clients requests. The countless creative compromises. The ‘make the logo bigger’s. And oh man, the egos. Those are the things that teach you and make you better. Directly behind every one of my successes is a beautiful failure that led to it all.

For an industry steeped in cynicism I‘m grateful to be able to say that I still love what I do. It’s allowed me so many opportunities to wear so many creative hats–I’ve been a composer, director, designer, art director, screen printer, copywriter, drone pilot, and photographer. And while my current title is Creative Director, no one gets here without being a teacher, a project manager, a recruiter, a bill collector, a CFO, a new business exec, a public speaker, an occasional corporate stooge, a boss, a therapist, a work buddy, and a serial abuser of the serial comma (see above).

At this stage of my career, I want to continue to produce amazing work. But more importantly, I want to impart my experience onto the next generation so that they can not only be acknowledged for their craft and experience the highs and lows of the industry, but continue to challenge the status quo and create an industry in which we all can be proud to work.
